Privacy policy
Last updated: 25 July 2026. This policy explains how Hardcore Exchange handles personal data for visitors and applicants.
Who we are
Hardcore Exchange (“we”, “us”) operates the hardcore-exchange.co.uk website and related marketplace services. For privacy questions contact privacy@hardcore-exchange.co.uk.
What this site does today
This is a static marketing and onboarding site. The contact form is a client-side demonstration: form data is not transmitted to our servers when you use the demo form. Theme preference is stored in your browser only (localStorage key hardcore-theme).
Data we may collect
When you email us or use a future live application form, we may process:
- Identity and contact details (name, email, phone, company or trading name)
- Role and market preferences you choose when applying
- Message content and any trade background you volunteer
- Technical logs typical of web hosting (IP address, browser type, approximate location, request times)
Why we process data
- Legitimate interests / contract steps: review applications, respond to enquiries, and operate marketplace accounts
- Legal obligations: fraud prevention, tax, and regulatory requirements where they apply
- Consent: optional marketing only if we ever offer it and you opt in — not required to apply
Hosting and processors
This site is designed for deployment on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process technical data as a hosting and security provider. Their privacy documentation applies to infrastructure processing in addition to this policy.
Cookies and local storage
We use localStorage to remember your light or dark theme choice. We do not set advertising cookies on this static site. If analytics are added later, this policy will be updated and, where required, consent controls will be added.
Retention
Enquiry and application emails are kept only as long as needed to respond and, if you become a trader, to maintain account records. Technical logs follow the host’s retention windows. You may request deletion of enquiry data where no legal retention duty applies.
Your rights
If UK GDPR applies to our processing of your personal data, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to data portability. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Contact us first at the privacy address above so we can resolve issues quickly.
Children
Hardcore Exchange is aimed at adult traders and businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change. The “last updated” date at the top will change accordingly. Material changes affecting traders will also be noted in account communications where we hold contact details.
